The Gnostic Revelation
Archons, Loosh & The Soul Trap | The Gnostic Revelation
August 10, 2026About this film or conversation
The idea of a reincarnation trap is seeing a massive resurgence online. I spent the last several months tracking this modern framework back to its earliest origins. I read the primary source documents directly to build this analysis entirely on the words these ancient texts use to describe the afterlife and the entities known as archons.
In 2017, researchers at Oxford identified Greek fragments of the First Apocalypse of James that appear to have been a teacher's classroom copy. This specific text contains a scripted set of answers Jesus provides to help a dying person bypass supernatural toll collectors who take souls by theft.
