This site is run by Jason Abadi, an independent filmmaker in San Antonio, Texas. Here's the honest version of what this site does and doesn't do with your information.

What this site collects

Contact form. If you use the contact form, the name, email address, and message you submit are emailed directly to me. I use them only to reply to you. They are never sold, shared, or added to any marketing list.

Server logs. Like nearly every website, the hosting provider (DreamHost) keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses and requested pages. These are used for security and troubleshooting.

Browser storage. The radio page can save your volume preference in your browser. The site does not use that preference for tracking.

Third-party services

Video playback. Video thumbnails load from YouTube's image servers. If you click play on a video, it loads YouTube's privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com), and from that point Google's privacy policy applies to the playback. If the normal latest-video feed is unavailable, the site may load a YouTube playlist player as a fallback.

Newsletter. The newsletter link opens a form hosted by Sender.net. Requesting the free guide on this site also subscribes you to the newsletter: your email address and optional first name are sent to Sender.net, and a signup record is saved privately on this server so failed requests can be recovered. Information you submit there is governed by Sender's privacy policy. I use your email address only to send the newsletter, and every issue includes an unsubscribe link.

Article previews. Article headlines and excerpts are fetched and cached by this server. Cover images load directly from Substack's image servers. Opening an article takes you to Substack.

Donations. The donate button links to a checkout page hosted by Stripe. Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches this site.

Outbound links. Links to YouTube, Patreon, Substack, Stripe, the merch store, and other platforms take you to sites with their own privacy policies.

Your rights

If you'd like anything you've sent me deleted, or want to know what I have including contact messages and guide or newsletter signup records, write to jason@jasonabadi.com and I'll take care of it.

This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

If this policy changes, the effective date above will be updated.
